Are you a detail-driven problem-solver with a passion for technology and a knack for keeping complex systems running smoothly? This is your chance to join a dynamic Business Solutions Team at the heart of a specialist pension scheme administration firm. Working across both day-to-day operations and high-impact business projects, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring critical pension systems perform at their best and when they don't, you'll be the one who fixes it. With a genuine hybrid setup offering three days working from home, a 35-hour week with flexible hours, and a strong benefits package, this role is designed for someone who wants real responsibility without sacrificing work-life balance.
In this varied and fast-paced role, you'll own the full change lifecycle, from user specifications and testing through to release while acting as a subject matter expert on key support tasks. You'll configure front-end pension systems, manage and triage support issues and defects, and provide project management-style support for critical initiatives such as system upgrades. Your SQL skills will be put to good use supporting data integrity analysis and producing reports, while your ability to liaise across teams will make you the bridge between the Business Solutions Team and the wider business, fostering collaboration and keeping relationships strong. You'll also take the lead on managing the client relationship with the system provider, chairing monthly meetings and driving timely resolution of outstanding change requests.
This is a role that rewards curiosity and initiative. You'll be continuously developing your technical toolkit, deepening your expertise in SQL and Excel VBA, while maintaining a rigorous audit trail and contributing to ad-hoc projects as they arise. If you thrive in an environment where no two days look the same, where your work genuinely matters, and where you can make your mark across both operational excellence and transformational change, we'd love to hear from you.
SQL query writing and scripting skills are essential along with experience with Visual Basic and/or VBA programming skills. Some experience of working with pensions would be highly desirable.
