We're looking for a Pensions Administrator to join this busy administration team, supporting over 60 varied pension schemes. This includes working on a new Collective Defined Contribution (CDC) scheme; an innovative pension model designed to bridge the gap between Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pensions, offering members a lifelong pension through pooled contributions.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid pensions experience who wants to develop their expertise, mentor colleagues, and play an active role in shaping how the team operates.

What you will be doing:

  • Administering pension schemes, including calculations, member enquiries, and ad-hoc projects
  • Maintaining accurate member and employer data
  • Reviewing colleagues' work for accuracy and consistency
  • Supporting scheme events such as valuations, annual benefit statements, pension increases, and data validation
  • Mentoring team members while continuing to develop your own knowledge
  • Identifying process improvements and contributing ideas in team meetings
  • Building relationships across teams as needed
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection and information security policies

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • At least 12 months' pensions experience
  • Experience with Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes
  • Benefit calculation experience
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Previous experience using pension or contribution systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to prioritise your workload
  • A professional, customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to develop your pension knowledge

Desirable:

  • Working towards or completed DPA/CPA qualifications
  • Experience checking others' work
  • Familiarity with additional Microsoft systems

  • Inclusivity – respectful and collaborative
  • Innovation – open to new ideas and ways of working
  • Customer focus – committed to delivering excellent service
  • Cost effectiveness – mindful of efficiency
  • Commitment – dedicated to quality and continuous improvement
