Our client is seeking a Pensions Quality Assurance, Member liaison & Team Support Senior Pensions Administrator to join their Pensions Operations Team, and member support function. This is very much a member services role and is the first point of contact for both scheme members and employers.
This is an online support environment, handling member and employer queries via webchat and digital channels. You will verify member identity, resolve pension-related queries, and liaise closely with employers regarding contributions and scheme data.
The role has a strong DB and DC focus, including monitoring contributions, checking payroll data, and ensuring all members are correctly set up on the system. You will work with monthly payroll spreadsheets covering mixed DB and DC contributions, support the ongoing operation of the DB scheme and the newer DC arrangement, and ensure data accuracy across both. A key part of the role is identifying and resolving discrepancies, such as missing joiner submissions or incorrect contribution data.
This position sits firmly within a service and quality assurance function, involving regular data checking, employer and member liaison, and ongoing monitoring of contribution processes. You will not be a line manager, but you will act as a senior team member, providing mentoring, guidance, and quality support to junior and entry-level colleagues, and assisting the Operations Manager as required.
The successful candidate will be an experienced pensions professional who:
• Has solid knowledge of ideally both DB and DC pension schemes (but just DB will also be suitable).
• Is accurate and efficient with pension data and payroll-related processes
• Enjoys member contact and is able to explain pensions clearly
• Takes pride in quality checking and supporting others’ development
Please note, this role is not within the pensions administration team responsible for benefit calculations; it is focused on member support, data accuracy, and operational oversight.
