A leading consultancy is seeking an ambitious and proactive Associate Consultant to join its growing pensions management practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in occupational pensions scheme governance and trustee secretarial support who is looking to build a long-term career in pensions.
The Role. You will:
• Support a variety of client teams across a broad mix of projects
• Deliver trustee secretarial and governance services
• Organise trustee meetings, including agendas, packs, papers and action logs
• Maintain core governance documentation (risk registers, training logs, calendars, conflicts registers)
• Liaise with third-party providers and regulatory bodies
• Work closely with experienced colleagues, learning on the job
• Participate in structured training covering technical, consulting and soft skills
• Receive full study support towards relevant professional qualifications
Experience in any of the following is beneficial (not essential):
• Acting as a Trustee Secretary
• Presenting at trustee meetings
• Preparing high-quality minutes and communications
• Supporting trustee sub-committees
• Managing member nominated trustee processes
• Managing audits, budgets and invoicing
About You
• Experience in a pensions consultancy or large in-house pensions team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
• Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Numerate; basic accounting knowledge helpful
