WHO WE AREThe Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) was launched on 1 April 2015. It is an executive agency of HM Treasury (HMT).
We employ 157 people in our office in London. This includes both auditors and administrative staff.
WHAT WE DO
The Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) helps ensure government and the wider public sector provide services effectively.
We offer quality assurance on an organisation’s systems and processes, based on an objective assessment of the governance, risk management and control arrangements it has in place.
Our internal auditors look at financial risks and wider issues, such as:
- Employee relations
- Management structure
- Relationships with stakeholders
We then offer advice on how to improve those systems and processes, based on our findings.
