This trustee company are looking to hire an In House Pensions Actuary or pensions Actuarial Consultant to bolster their existing in house team.

The team is responsible for supporting the trustees form a technical standpoint, including in the production of scheme valuations, modelling and support for scheme changes in funding or investment strategy etc. supporting member option exercises, and also in the production of Accounting Disclosures for their employer members.

The team also supports the trustee services team who are responsible for communicating to employer members on behalf of the trustee company.

They are now looking to hire either a qualified pensions actuary with a minimum of around 3 years’ experience of working within occupational pensions, or an individual who is perhaps part qualified but who has ‘significant’ experience of pension actuarial work as a support consultant to a pensions actuarial team.

The position could suit either an individual who wishes to be ‘inward’ facing and work on technical aspects of the role but they could equally support somebody who wanted to increase their client facing abilities and profile, but you MUST have UK based DB actuarial scheme experience.

The role offers a strong salary and benefits package which is flexible to suit the right individual.
