As the team leader you will manage the day-to-day operation of the team, allocating and prioritising the workload and ensuring that the team delivers the required level of service.
Also taking responsibility for the checking of more complex or high profile calculations provided under the schemes and the Scheme Employers’ early retirement and compensation arrangements.
Take care to make sure targets are met and scheme members, employers and pension funds alike benefit from excellent service, you will champion service improvements and the use of exciting technologies. This will include everything from member self-service initiatives and developing employer portals for receiving data, through to making data-flows between the team and employers more intuitive. Along the way, you will engage directly with all kinds of customers.
Working knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme or defined benefit schemes is essential, coupled with a degree, pensions qualification or equivalent experience.
A highly organised and motivational leader, your supervisory track record includes staff training and development, target setting and management. Your excellent communication and relationship building skills really set you apart.
