If the answer is yes, our client, based in a central town location, with free parking and a lovely modern office have a vacancy within their in-house pension department for a Team Leader confident enough to manage a team of between 5 to 6 pensions administrators, at varying levels.
You will oversee the checking and calculation and payment of benefits, including processing non-standard cases. Efficient handling of correspondence, e-mail and telephone enquiries from scheme members and third party institutions. Lead the scheme renewal process and deal with queries arising in the issuing of benefit statements as required. Manage, review and amend in line with pension legislation and business requirements work flow procedures. Developing and adapting processes with other team leaders to ensure consistency through the pensions department. Liaising proactively with other team members to ensure clarity and successful delivery of pension administration services to the scheme membership.
You will appraise direct reports, review and set targets for personal development, bonus and business objectives. Manage talent and develop team through performance reviews and annual appraisals. Whilst at the same time providing support and information to the Team Manager.
Our client has both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution schemes, and uses Intellipen pension administration system. They use lots of bulk processes and automated work flow systems, and your role will be the leadership of a team responsible for the day-to-day administration of a number of in-house pension arrangements.
