My client is a specialist pensions consulting business who are now looking to hire an experience individual into this newly created role, due to the growth of the business it is currently experiencing as well to look at potential future succession planning on to the leadership team.
The successful individual will help lead their Administration and Adviser Proposition work (c.60-70% of role), while also contributing towards building their broader proposition offering (c.30-40%). This "other" work is likely to focus on non-DB own-trust opportunities and could span a range of other proposition areas depending on the individual's experience, interests, and market opportunities.
What my client is looking for
This is a senior consultative role, reporting into Director level. The role requires an individual who is comfortable operating independently and taking the lead with complex and ambiguous projects, with the ability to take a problem and build a successful approach to evaluation and then present a range of solutions. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in environments that do not have clear or prescriptive briefs.
The successful candidate will:
• Possess an in-depth understanding of the pensions industry, its stakeholders, and key decision-makers, with the ability to influence effectively across complex organisational dynamics, competing priorities, and differing agendas.
• Have a solid understanding and experience of working within the administrator and adviser market, including the differences of business and operating models across providers.
• Bring experience and interest in at least one complementary area such as DC pensions (particularly corporate DC), consolidation models, insurer OPM, DC master trust OPM, or adjacent fields such as reward, payroll, HR, audit, or corporate governance.
• Have established a credible reputation within their area of expertise, with an ability to contribute to the market profile of the business through conference speaking, webinars, thought leadership and wider industry engagement.
