Pensions’ Sherlock Holmes/ Business Analyst – The Case of the Vanishing Requirement

Super sleuth Day Rate Pensions Business Analyst Required.

A perfectly sensible pensions requirement has disappeared.

There are witnesses.

Several versions of events.

A suspicious spreadsheet.

And one stakeholder who insists:

“That’s how we’ve always done it.”

The game is afoot.

We’re looking for a Pensions Business Analyst with a little Sherlock Holmes about them.

Someone who can walk into a complicated pensions problem, examine the evidence, question the assumptions and work out what is actually going on.

Your investigations might involve:

Processes. Systems. Data. Requirements. Controls. UAT. Risk. Change. Implementation.

You’ll follow clues through administration teams, technology, project people and management.

Sometimes the culprit will be a bad process.

Sometimes a system.

Sometimes a requirement nobody properly understood in the first place.

And occasionally you’ll discover that everyone has spent three months solving entirely the wrong crime.

You’ll need proper UK pensions knowledge - ideally DB administration - because the clues here tend to involve member events, calculations, data, workflows and the sort of pensions oddities that would have Watson reaching for the brandy.

Agile? Fine.

Waterfall? Fine.

A wall covered in Post-it notes connected with red string?

We’ll allow it.

What matters is that you can cut through complexity, spot what others miss and turn a murky pensions mystery into something considerably more elementary.

Solid Business Analysis experience required.
Pensions knowledge essential.
Deerstalker and magnifying glass provided..
