Opportunity to join this derisking industry leader, hiring due to growth, a skilled Defined Benefit Pensions technical specialist to provide expertise in the onboarding of newly secured DB schemes. This is a highly technical position focused on defined benefit pensions, ensuring that member benefits are accurately interpreted, documented, and delivered.
You will play a key part in the successful transition of schemes, working closely with third-party administrators, while ensuring consistently positive experiences for policyholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead technical onboarding of DB pension schemes, ensure benefit specifications are accurate and complete
- Collaborate with third-party administrators to enhance processes, systems, and delivery models
- Support transitions such as buy-ins and buy-outs, ensuring smooth implementation into the operating framework
- Interpret complex pension data and ensure accuracy across large datasets
- Contribute to project delivery, ensure meeting timelines, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and outcomes
About You
You are a technically strong pensions professional with significant defined benefit experience and a keen eye for detail.
You will bring:
- Strong technical knowledge of defined benefit pension scheme benefits specifications
- Experience in scheme onboarding, transitions, or implementation projects
- Familiarity with buy-ins, buy-outs, and transition processes
- Understanding of GMP equalisation would be beneficial
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
- Confidence working with large data sets and a good level of Excel capability
