The Role

A great opportunity is available for Senior Actuarial Trainee to join our actuarial team and support them and the client teams to deliver excellent service to our clients. You will have a varied role and work across a wide range of schemes.

This role is a hybrid position, ideally commutable to Solihull, but we are open to other UK locations.

What you will be doing

  • Senior actuarial trainee to carry out checking/review role
  • Supporting actuaries in managing their clients and providing consulting advice
  • Taking a lead on project work (including buyout, risk transfer, GMP equalisation and data rectification)
  • Training and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Opportunity to develop into client facing consultant or subject specialist.
Here's what we're looking for:

  • Experience of UK actuarial DB pensions experience.
  • Able to carry out detailed and high-level checks of valuation and other actuarial work
  • In depth knowledge of UK DB pensions and legislation
  • Managing a small team to ensure that client work is delivered within budget and timescales
  • Mentoring and training junior colleagues
