Senior Client Relationship Manager

Are you an experienced client relationship leader ready to take ownership of a high-value client portfolio? Our client – a respected pensions administration and governance specialist – is looking for a Senior Client Relationship Manager to join their growing team. This is a strategically critical, client-facing position that calls for a confident communicator, trusted adviser, and commercially-minded problem-solver.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll act as the main point of contact for senior stakeholders, trustees, and corporate clients, ensuring an exceptional and proactive service. You will:
- Build and strengthen relationships at board and trustee level.
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and service improvements.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and project delivery, ensuring work meets governance and compliance standards (AAF01/06, ISO27001).
- Attend client and Trustee meetings, presenting reports and strategic updates.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to commercial proposals.
- Act as Scheme Secretary, coordinating meetings, documentation, and governance.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Client Relationship Manager within pensions administration or consultancy.
- Strong understanding of UK pensions legislation and administrative processes.
- PMI (or equivalent) qualification preferred.
- At least 7 years’ experience in a client-facing pension environment.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills – able to engage senior-level stakeholders with confidence.
- Highly organised, commercially aware, and independent in solving complex problems.
