Are you an experienced client relationship leader ready to take ownership of a high-value client portfolio? Our client – a respected pensions administration and governance specialist – is looking for a Senior Client Relationship Manager to join their growing team. This is a strategically critical, client-facing position that calls for a confident communicator, trusted adviser, and commercially-minded problem-solver.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll act as the main point of contact for senior stakeholders, trustees, and corporate clients, ensuring an exceptional and proactive service. You will:

  • Build and strengthen relationships at board and trustee level.
  • Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and service improvements.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and project delivery, ensuring work meets governance and compliance standards (AAF01/06, ISO27001).
  • Attend client and Trustee meetings, presenting reports and strategic updates.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to commercial proposals.
  • Act as Scheme Secretary, coordinating meetings, documentation, and governance.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a Client Relationship Manager within pensions administration or consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of UK pensions legislation and administrative processes.
  • PMI (or equivalent) qualification preferred.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in a client-facing pension environment.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills – able to engage senior-level stakeholders with confidence.
  • Highly organised, commercially aware, and independent in solving complex problems.

What’s in it for you

  • The autonomy to manage your own portfolio of high-profile clients.
  • Exposure to both trustee and corporate relationships at strategic level.
  • A supportive culture that values initiative, ideas, and professional development.
  • Training and mentoring in scheme secretariat and governance functions.

If you’re ambitious, articulate, and thrive in a client-focused environment where no two days are the same, this is a superb opportunity to make a real impact.
