The Role:
Broadstone has grown significantly in recent years whilst retaining its friendly and collaborative working environment. We are looking to recruit an Actuarial Consultant with 2-4 years’ experience to join our team advising pension trustees. Applications are welcomed from people looking to return after a career break, and/or who have chosen not to continue with the actuarial exams. Opportunities are also available at higher levels.
Through the wide range of advisory services delivered to our pensions clients, we provide our staff with a variety of work experiences within a supportive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out technical calculations
- Drafting reports
- Client communication and project management
- Reviewing data preparation carried out by junior colleagues
Your Skills & Experience
- Have passes in actuarial exams required for qualification as FIA or FFA, with an aptitude to continue progressing (or can otherwise demonstrate commitment to the profession)
- Experienced in preparing several actuarial valuations and accounting disclosures
- Knowledge of the main aspects of pensions regulation
- Able to apply directions and convey results simply and clearly
- Able to work both independently and in a team, taking initiative to progress tasks
