Take full ownership of trustee governance and shape it with your ideas and expertise. You’ll develop specialist knowledge across scheme governance, regulatory compliance and project management - with real support to deepen your qualifications too.
Hybrid working lets you balance focused home days with collaborative office time. You’ll also get hands-on experience acting as named trustee secretary for multiple clients, managing real governance projects that will sharpen your skills and build your reputation in the industry.
You’ll be trusted to lead procurement exercises and governance reviews, giving you exposure to senior decision-makers and the chance to influence how schemes are run.
What you’ll do
You’ll help pension schemes run smoothly by advising trustees and sponsors on governance best practice. You’ll guide them through regulatory requirements, lead effectiveness reviews and manage bespoke projects like adviser procurement. Your insight will help schemes improve how they operate and stay compliant.
Managing client relationships will be key. You’ll become a go-to adviser for many, working closely with trustees and sponsors to understand their needs and deliver tailored support. You’ll also help develop junior colleagues by sharing your knowledge and mentoring them through real-world governance challenges.
What you’ll need
You’ll need solid experience providing pensions consulting support - whether in-house or at a consultancy. You should be confident across all areas of scheme governance and able to demonstrate how you’ve helped schemes meet regulatory obligations and resolve issues. Experience in some or most of the following is useful:
* Organising trustee meetings, drafting agendas, producing meeting packs, attending meetings, presenting items, and managing actions

* Putting in place and reviewing risk registers
* Dealing with regulatory bodies and third parties
