Role Summary: The Data Analyst works in the Quality Assurance and Audit (QA&A) Team which has responsibilities for contributing to the embedding of quality throughout the Aptia administration business. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely data analysis is provided to our internal stakeholders in order to support our clients. You will work closely with both UK and India QA&A Data Analysts, ensuring data is processed efficiently and potential issues are identified early. You will include checking data production and manipulation and providing verification and sign off to the Aptia Administration teams prior to the data being issued. The role of the Data Analyst is to: • Deliver accurate, high-quality data analysis within strict turnaround times. • Streamline data analysis workflows and referral processes across Aptia’s operational teams. • Coordinate incoming work and for efficient data analysis processing. • Identify and report data quality issues to support compliance and reduce the risk of data breaches. • Build proficiency with data analysis tools and processes through training and hands-on experience. • Contribute to improving overall efficiency and capacity of the Data Analysis function within QA&A. • Work alongside QA&A and the wider First Line of Defence function to ensure a robust control environment is established across the Aptia administration business. This role is a hybrid position where you will work from any of our Aptia offices, as well as from your home address. Here's what you’ll be doing: • Carry out regular reviews of data extractions. • Analyse data that has been manipulated to ensure data integrity is maintained. • Sign off data extracts (including manipulation) before data can be issued. • Review and sign off the final data used for mail-merges ensuring communications are correct. • Ensure data is handled in line with GDPR requirements. • Assist in the provision of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) if required. • Contribute to changes in processes to strengthen controls around data handling. Here’s what we’re looking for: • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of Vlookups, Pivot table, and Index Match functions. • Ability to analyse and identify issues with data. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • A strong quality focus. • Ability to work to short deadlines. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and provide feedback across teams. • VBA coding is preferable but not essential. • Experience with macros and mail merges is preferable but not essential. • Experience in the pension industry is preferrable but not essential. • A strong control environment mentality.
