Lead the Way in DB Pensions Strategy

A well-established consultancy with a strong reputation in the industry is looking for a Senior Defined Benefit (DB) Pensions Consultant to take on a key leadership role within their high-performing team. This is a standout opportunity to step into a senior, client-facing position where you’ll have genuine influence over strategic direction, project delivery, and client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships across your client portfolio
• Ensure regular, high-quality client engagement, including meetings, agendas, and follow-ups
• Deliver advice in line with client agreements, scope of work, and service standards
• Identify client needs and develop tailored solutions with a focus on quality and retention

Technical Consulting & Project Delivery
• Provide expert advice on DB pensions issues, including scheme governance, funding, and regulatory matters
• Lead and deliver medium-complexity projects and strategic advice to peer-review standards
• Communicate complex technical issues clearly to clients and internal teams
• Stay up to date with legislation, market trends, and industry best practice

Collaboration & Leadership
• Contribute to the development of the team’s consulting capabilities and thought leadership
• Mentor junior colleagues and support their professional development
• Foster collaboration across departments and with external suppliers
• Promote the firm’s services and contribute to the development of new business opportunities

Experience
• Extensive experience in DB pensions consultancy, with strong client and trustee engagement skills
• Deep technical knowledge of defined benefit schemes, current legislation, and regulatory trends
• Confident communicator, able to simplify complex issues for a range of stakeholders
• Leadership capability with experience mentoring or managing junior consultants
• Commercial awareness and a collaborative, solutions-driven approach
