About the Role
As an Associate Trustee Secretary, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of trustee boards by supporting the delivery of high-quality secretarial and governance services. Working closely with lead secretaries, trustees, and key stakeholders, you will help manage scheme governance, regulatory compliance, and meeting administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of governance and secretarial services across a portfolio of pension schemes.
- Organize and manage trustee and sub-committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and meeting packs.
- Attend trustee meetings where required, take minutes, and manage action logs.
- Maintain governance documents, including risk registers, business plans, and trustee training records.
- Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance, such as annual scheme returns and data protection registrations.
- Support trustee boards with projects such as adviser reviews, trustee elections, and member communications.
- Act as a key point of contact for trustees, advisers, and other stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- At least two years’ experience in the pensions industry, ideally at a Senior Pensions Administrator level or in a scheme secretarial role.
- Strong knowledge of UK occupational pension schemes (DB, DC, or Hybrid).
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- A proactive approach and willingness to develop skills to take the lead on secretarial appointments.
