Role Summary:

You will provide data services (data, interfaces and reports) developer expertise and support to client implementations and day-to-day operations of systems for internal and external clients in an efficient and professional manner. It also includes leadership within the Developer community for technical matters and to support knowledge transfers and mentorship across the team.

This is a hybrid position where you will work from any of our UK Aptia offices, as well as from your home address.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Meeting the business requirements and implementation needs of clients in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with any agreed standards and procedures.
• Assist with improving & standardisation of processes, tools and documentation for all “Da-ta” related deliverables.
• Understand the business requirements and develop / code the necessary client configurations. This could be across single or multiple disciplines i.e. Data, Reports and Interfaces etc.
• Utilisation of SQL as a tool for problem solving complex issues.
• Working with your peers and our internal and external clients to understand their requirements, and produce formal technical documentation of solutions developed.
• Work with relevant stakeholders/teams to identify functional changes to our core prod-ucts, standard tools and processes that are required to ensure business needs are met and to ensure these are formally documented.
• Provide support and mentoring to colleagues within the wider Technology Solutions teams.
• Support the Technical Data Team Leader in driving best practice within the discipline.
• Taking opportunities to lead development of client solutions or standards, tools and framework through technical forums or client projects.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Familiarity within the Employee Benefits and/or Life & Pensions industries.
• Understands the methodologies used in a software development and support environ-ment e.g. Agile, Waterfall, ITIL.
• Experience in Data Implementations and Development.
• Able to articulate complex messages with clarity and ease to all audiences and flex style as required.
• Excellent technical skills and ability to work within prescribed frameworks and timescales.
• Familiarity with pensions administration software.
• Good knowledge of product/applications and implementation processes.
• Identification and management of Change control.
