Trustee Manager

Our client, established in 2010, and widely viewed as a leader in its field, professional pension trusteeship is at the heart of what the business offers and is delivered through a combination of Chair of Trustees, co-trustee and professional corporate sole trustee (PCST) appointments. Over a third of the firm’s appointments are to act as PCST. The professional trusteeship side of the business is strengthened by a standalone support services arm, which provides secretarial, pensions managerial, project management and governance solutions to a variety of clients.
The 70-strong team includes pensions expertise drawn from many different disciplines, such as investment specialists, lawyers, actuaries, pensions managers and consultants. The team is known for providing diversity of thought and wide ranging collective experience.

Schemes range in size from the low millions to multi-billions and operate in a variety of industries and sectors. Ross Trustees is a prominent member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees (APPT).
They play an active part in APPT committees and members of the firm are fully-accredited as professional trustees. Summary of the role: To provide support to the clients and Directors of a dynamic, award winning professional pensions Trustee Company.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic oversight of day to day running of schemes
Overall responsibility for delivering pension manager/secretarial function where applicable and acting/deputising as scheme secretary if required • Ensuring schemes are run in accordance with the Trust Deed and Rules, legislation and Regulator’s Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes by liaising with the various scheme advisers, administrators and trustees
Overall responsibility for scheme governance, budgets and planning and delivery of projects
Liaising with trustees to devise and deliver the strategic direction of a scheme
Relationship management with trustees, scheme advisers, and employer representatives
Project management and leading on routine as well as ad-hoc, specialist projects
Deputising for Director in their absence, including chairing meetings or sub committees, where required Internal-facing role
Regularly brief lead Director of each client for which the TM is responsible on key areas of Work in Progress
Receive debrief from Trustee Associates and Trustee Administrators as required
