We offer professional services to around 2,000 Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSAS) and 150 Funded Unapproved Retirement Benefits Schemes (FURBS), including trusteeship, consultancy and administration. Daily work includes liaising with pension scheme trustees to facilitate investment transactions, dealing with pension scheme members regarding their own retirement options and benefits, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure compliance with current pension scheme rules. The primary purpose of this entry-level role is to perform a range of basic administrative tasks as part of a small team supporting the SSAS Business Area in its delivery of services to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a team to deliver accurate work in a timely fashion to your colleagues
  • Maintaining scheme records on our internal administration system and other systems as required
  • Inputting, checking and analysing cash transactions to summarise bank account movements
  • Completing paper-based and electronic forms in line with set processes
  • Dealing with banks and other financial institutions to obtain relevant information
  • Using standard packages such as Microsoft Excel
  • Preparing basic financial statements and reviewing accounts

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent at grade C/5 or higher in Maths and English is required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook is desirable, strong IT skills is essential
  • As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to take four short written tests to assess Numerical Checking, Numerical Reasoning, Numerical Computation and Grammar & Spelling
  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality as you will be dealing with sensitive information
