Are you an experienced Occupational Pensions or Senior Pensions Administrator seeking a new career move to be part of a very large (40-50 people depending on projects) in-house pension administration department? If yes, we think this role could be ideal.  Joining one of two teams you will report to the Member Services Team Leader, and ideally if possible join the DB team first, as our client already has a lot of employees with DC experience, but if you know you are a stand out individual, able to quickly pick up DB pensions administration skills, then please apply also, as once in the role this company are keen that all their administrators can deal with both types of schemes, and have a strong knowledge base across all schemes, another reason this is such a super opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills and grow within the role.

Are you perhaps also moving because you want more flexibility in your day, to start for example as early as 7.00am, and finish at 3.00pm? To only go in the office a maximum of 3 days per week and enjoy 2 at home, saving you not just time but travel costs? If the answer is yes, then this is just one of many reasons this is such a super role with a major name, who because of their product diversity thrive no matter what the marketplace, comforting to know in these different and challenging times.

Your core function will be to execute day-to-day administration and communication services for all scheme members including online services in accordance with agreed standards, within agreed procedures to provide a service to all members and beneficiaries on Scheme benefits and resolve their queries without offering advice. Dealing with day-to-day active, deferred and pensioner administration, including calculations, carried out to expected time and quality standards.  Activity includes, but is not limited to, AVC's, new joiners, opt outs, executives, general data maintenance for all categories of member, refunds, deferred pensions transfers in (DC), transfers out, normal, late, early and ill-health retirements, retirement quotations, deaths in service/deferment/retirement.  All Pensioner administration including adding and ceasing members to pensioner payroll, pension increases, tax queries, providing information to DWP, reclaiming overpaid pension instalments following deaths, tracing members when payments/correspondence are returned, commutation of pensions in payment, mortality exercises and general pensioner record maintenance including bank changes, address updates and power of attorneys. Efficient handling and processing of telephone, online, written and in-person pension entitlement, pensioner payroll and all non-member enquiries, providing clear and accurate information to members within agreed timescales, referring complex cases to the Team Leader.

You will be someone who is able to analyse member data and identify changes required, and find data inconsistencies, analyse the likely cause and propose actions required to remedy and prevent further instances occurring. You will have up-to-date knowledge of specific pension's legislation and HMRC requirements relating to occupational pension schemes.
