Are you an experienced pensions administrator with ideally 5 years or more experience in the pensions industry? Our client, a leading and well-respected professional services consultancy, have an opportunity for an experienced senior level pensions administrator to join their team in Birmingham. This is a key level appointment to the team in Birmingham and will give the opportunity to develop to the first stages of team management in a deputy capacity.
This role is being offered on a hybrid working platform offering the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
On a day to day basis you will be managing a portfolio of clients where you will be:
• Managing projects to ensure all deadlines and budgets are met
• Checking manual and computer generated benefit calculations for accuracy and checking updates to the member database.
• Undertaking a proactive client facing role including attending meetings and communicating with clients, their members and advisers.
• Assisting with the promoting of the company’s administration services and systems to existing and potential new clients
• Checking cash handling functions and liaising with the bank and investment managers as appropriate.
• Checking client pensioner payrolls including calculation of net pay and arrangement payments.
• Liaising with authorities including DWP, HMRC, The Pensions Regulator and the Information Commissioner.
• Deputising for the Team Leader in their absence
Experience and Skills
You will have ideally 5 years experience that you will have gained from either within a Third Party Administration operation or from an in house company pensions team. Ideally you will be progressing with PMI examinations. You will have up to date pensions knowledge and have a sound and in depth pensions knowledge. You will also be experienced at checking and authorising calculations and processes of others.
