PENSIONS MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT – HYBRID WORKING 41-56K

This is a Profile Search and Selection vacancy who are operating as an Employment Agency. In order to apply for this position candidates MUST have FINANCIAL SERVICES EXPERIENCE.  In order to apply for this role you must have extensive trustee and governance experience. 

Responsibilities

The role is to ensure the timely delivery of the Pension Management services as a structured and profitable service line and provide assistance in the development of tools used to support the Pensions Management team.

Detailed Responsibilities

·        Providing services to clients in accordance with the guidance on the Pension Management Intranet site

  • Timely preparation and collation of papers for trustee meetings in accordance with Pension Management processes and client service level agreements
  • Attending client meetings and preparing draft minutes as required
  • Taking responsibility for producing and maintaining governance documents
  • Implementing Pension Management marketing initiatives
  • Assisting at Pension Management internal or client seminars (drafting slides, etc.)

Client management

  • Taking personal responsibility for completion of work allocated to you, and meeting deadlines
  • Understanding the Firm’s client care policy and ensure that clients are treated fairly
  • General consultancy, dealing with clients’ telephone queries and day-to-day correspondence, providing technical advice where needed
  • Ability to lead the Pension Management relationship on firm wide appointments
  • Hosting client meetings where applicable
  • Taking ownership of any customer concerns or complaints, ensuring they are processed correctly and raised with appropriate reporting Partner immediately
  • Preparing fee quotes for review, in accordance with Pension Management pricing guidelines and identifying and quoting fees for work outside the fixed fee arrangements
  • Meeting with clients and prospects

Team management

  • Training and helping the development of other team members
  • Taking an active role, in team meetings
  • Study monitoring, as and when appropriate
  • Formal work monitoring, as and when appropriate

Research and development

  • Understanding requirements and implications of Pension legislation, regulations, and other guidance
  • Complying with Continuous Professional Development requirements of relevant Professional Bodies (as appropriate) and attending external seminars and talks
  • Contributing to the development of tools and guidance to support the team and wider business, ensuring they remain appropriate for the work that needs to be carried out

Technical skills

  • Peer reviewing standard advice in accordance with professional requirements
  • Provision of benefits advice, guidance and Pension Management service to clients

Business development

  • Help to generate new business by actively promoting Pension Management services through networking, articles, presentations
  • Identify opportunities to promote the services of all business areas
  • Assist with preparing new business tenders and present Pension Management services at new business pitches
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with industry contacts
