As the Communications and Projects Specialist for this in-house scheme for a FTSE100 employer, you will be responsible for delivery of all communication materials, member engagement and process improvement projects. Just think what you can create and achieve in this exciting role…

Based in Central London (currently working in the office a minimum of 3 days per week, the remainder from home), the in-house team administers the UK pension arrangements for circa 60,000 employees and also has oversight of international pension arrangements across the globe. 

Some of your new key responsibilities and tasks will include producing copy in respect of member communications material, such as standard documentation, e-communication, website, reports, and newsletters, benefit statements (and keep an ongoing reference library). You will manage production of member communications material, collaborating with internal and external suppliers, such as communication consultants and print fulfilment services, to ensure effective production and distribution of member communication material. You will also manage production of all annual and ad hoc communication exercises such as benefit statements, member reports, the summary funding statement, using appropriate project governance and collaborating with internal and external suppliers. You will also maintain pension's related content held on member, HR and internal websites. 

As part of your role you will need to keep abreast of legislative changes affecting member communications and the likely impact on the scheme and employer arrangements. You will work with areas such as operations systems, the operations team, and technical colleagues to ensure that online services are simple, understandable, intuitive and aligned to the department‘s procedures and work flow. You will then maintain process and prepare guidance notes for implementation of member communications and produce relevant training documentation material for all stakeholders, document processes and develop workflow activities, including standard letters and forms.

To undertake this role it is likely that you are someone who has worked in the Administration of defined benefit and or defined contribution pension schemes, and later progressed into a communications role in this sector, or vice versa, but understanding occupational pensions provision is essential coupled with your flair in communications to make this role your own and do exciting things within member communications.
