Joining this in-house team in this newly created role, you will support the Head of Pensions in this technical role. About the role * Responsible for identifying and interpreting relevant pension technical information and changes in pension related legislation for use by the Company and Trustees. * Support governance of all UK Group pension arrangements (trust and contract) in compliance with statutory time frames and best practice. * Provide technical pensions support when required to HR, Payroll, Legal Employment and other business functions and to the Trustees of all UK pension arrangements across the Group to maintain compliance with legislation. * Provide guidance and facilitate access to training for members of the Pensions team, HR and Trustees around the Group. * Support in the drafting and distribution of pension communications to employees and key stakeholders * Support the integration of acquisitions and the extraction of divestments from a pension and insured risk perspective. About you * Knowledge of current pension legislation and experience in applying this in a practical manner, essential. * Experience in a technical pensions or DB consultant role in either a third-party consultancy or in-house environment, required. * APMI qualified or equivalent required. * In depth knowledge of pension administration best practice and experience of GMP reconciliations, GMP equalisation and data integrity projects desirable. * Project management skills desirable, organisational skills essential. * Ability to communicate complex ideas succinctly and accurately, to a broad range of people with varying degrees of pension’s knowledge, in a professional and timely manner, essential.
