ABOUT THE CABINET OFFICEThe Cabinet Office is at the centre of Government, co-ordinating policy and strategy. Headed by the Permanent Secretary, John Manzoni – also the Chief Executive of the Civil Service - it is comprised of a number of different business units.
The Cabinet Office’s core purpose is to make government work better and be greater than the sum of its parts. To do this, we have four main objectives:
• to support the Prime Minister and Cabinet in delivering the Government’s agenda;
• to drive efficiency and reform, and make public service work better;
• to build a more united democracy and a stronger civil society; and
• to strengthen and secure the UK at home and abroad.
