Working in this specialist Covenant Advisory team you will provide advice to both trustees of defined benefit pension schemes and the companies which sponsor them regarding all aspects of the employer covenant, covering the entire spectrum of covenant assessments in terms of the required level of detail and complexity, including in-depth reviews with bespoke analysis and modelling, to enable you to understand the financial health in relation to pension scheme liabilities.
Key responsibilities will be to analyse company accounts and financial statements, identify key trends, strengths and weaknesses, collect and collate the relevant data and analyse them in a time efficient manner using your technical skills. Other duties will be to prepare draft reports and/or presentations of varying degrees of detail, set out the results of the employer covenant analysis and use various data sources to obtain relevant information, such as DataStream, Companies House, or equivalent. You will also assist with the preparation of presentations regarding various topics relating to the employer covenant, to be presented externally for marketing purposes.
To be considered for this role, you will have an understanding of corporate pension schemes and the role of the Trustees responsibilities, a strong numerical and analytical background, diligent, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with other professionals, including actuaries and lawyers as well as FDs and Trustees.
