The administration function of this large in-house pension scheme is looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst to join their Project Management team. The team is primarily responsible for reviewing and improving processes and systems and across the business.
As the Senior Business Analyst you will be a key player in developing and maintaining business capabilities. The role will play a key function in communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to convey how information technology can support the organisation's needs.
The primary responsibilities will be:
• Analysing future strategies, capturing capabilities, modelling of business relationships, identifying capability gaps and development of cross-functional roadmaps
•Translating strategic initiatives into delivery-focused change initiatives (both process and technological)
•Determine operational objectives and priorities by close engagement with a number of stakeholders such as the Operational Excellence Team, Business Support Function and Change Advisory Board
•Defining high level user stories to enable business requirements to be clearly defined and options thoroughly explored
•Close engagement with 3rd party suppliers to communicate business requirements, accurately agree technical solutions and determine timescales & costs (ultimately ensuring the solution meets business requirements)
•Understand and engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure that all impacts are properly considered
•Oversee strategic alignment of Project Business Cases.
Candidates must have at least three years’ experience of working in a Business Analyst role. It’s essential that this experience will have been gained within the pensions industry and ideally gained specifically within the Defined Benefits environment. You should also possess significant Pension Administration operations experience.
You will hold a formal Business Analysis qualification and the ability to operate within a highly dynamic environment, engaging effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions.
You will also need very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflict effectively.
