Operating in house, this Pensions Manager/Scheme Secretary position sits within a well established business where pension provision includes a range of arrangements including DB and DC. As the in house source of pensions expertise, the role covers all aspects of pensions and supports the sponsoring business and the Trustee. Managing the relationships with the external advisors and administrators (particularly ensuring service levels are met) as well as maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders is a key part of the role.
For this role candidates must have sound technical pensions expertise and a broad range of pension experience covering most aspects of managing and delivering pension provision. Experience of supporting a trustee body as well as an understanding of the corporate considerations pertaining to the funding and costs of pension provision is required. Candidates must also be effective working independently, be comfortable reporting at a senior level and will need a practical 'hands on' approach together with excellent communication skills.
