Would you like to have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the BAE Systems Pension schemes, working with senior leaders across the business? We currently have a vacancy for a Head of Member Services at our site in Farnborough.

As a Head of Member Services, you will be responsible for ongoing provision of all services to our 200,000 members including oversight of the schemes external Pension Administrators and Providers ensuring the delivery of services in line with contracts and agreed requirements.  You will also be responsible for Member Engagement and all bulk Communications as well as support to the Company in relation to member Consultative forums, assisting with our globally mobile employees and support to HR and ER colleagues in relation to Pensions.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a successful, professional and highly motivated in house pension’s team who are at the forefront of providing support to Trustees of one of the largest portfolio of pension schemes in the UK.

Your main responsibilities as a Head of Members Services will involve: 

  • Reporting to the Head of Trustee and Member Services, this is a senior position in the Group Pensions Team
  • Responsibility for co-ordination and delivery of all Member related services for all UK pension schemes
  • Supporting and providing guidance to participating Employers, HR and ER colleagues in relation to scheme matters and member services
  • Responsibility for management of Trustee Providers in particular Pension Administrators
  • Responsibility for management and delivery of Member Communications and Engagement

Your skills and qualifications as a Head of Members Services:

  • Pensions Industry knowledge and experience
  • DB and DC pensions experience
  • Managing Trustee Boards and Pension Schemes
  • Management of, or delivery of Pensions Administration
  • Contract management and oversight
  • Pensions Legislation requirements and good practice (existing and emerging)
  • Pensions qualifications PMI or equivalent would be beneficial
  • Direct team management experience or at least co-ordinating advisors would be desirable
