Your next exciting and enjoyable medium-length contract is here within a dynamic in-house pension department as part of a small friendly team!  An opportunity has arisen for you to provide day-to-day administration support and to deal with a wide range of tasks including the calculation of members' benefits and checking of other administrators' work.  You will be required to ensure an accurate, reliable and high standard of service to pension scheme members, as well as dealing with general enquiries in relation to retirement savings and other company benefits.

You will be able to confidently process automated and manual calculations for Defined Benefit (Final Salary, Career Average and Cash Balance) and Defined Contribution members including leavers, retirements, deaths, transfers in and transfers out.  You will be used to managing your own day-to-day workload ensuring that contracted Service Level Agreement performance targets and quality standards are met.  You will always be prompt and work in a professional manner to service the best interests of the company, and in-house occupational scheme members.

You will be a team player and enjoy checking benefit calculations performed by other team members.  You will also be a confident communicator at all levels, enabling you to liaise with the Administration Team Manager on specific member cases, HR, Trustees, other Senior Managers, and scheme members in clear terms they understand. 

Your work will range from dealing with monthly tasks and assisting on other projects, such as pension increases and GMP rectification as required, to other duties that are within your skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed. You will also deal with general benefit enquiries including resolving queries raised in respect of the benefits portal. You should be at a level whereby you can offer technical and practical support to the team, as appropriate.  You will be a people person who enjoys answering the telephone and email queries, responding in a friendly, helpful manner, and you will be flexible with a 'hands on' approach.
