One of the UK’s leading and most highly regarded multi-employer workplace pension schemes is looking to hire a Professional Services Manager, who will be responsible for pro-actively managing and co-ordinating the delivery of innovative and alternative pensions services to the schemes’ employers and members. There will be a mix of project management and ongoing delivery management as these services are implemented and become BAU streams of income. You will act as a source of expertise to employees, members and employers in relation to these services and you will lead the schemes’ relationship with external stakeholders including assurance and actuarial partners as well as national accounting and trade bodies. The successful individual will have a proven track record of service delivery, stakeholder management and well crafted, incisive communications. You will also be innovative and be forward thinking, having the ability to generate ideas for alternative services to employers and members. This role might suit a traditional Defined Benefits Pension Consultant or a Trainee Actuary who has stopped studying, who has a demonstrable record of consulting service delivery and excellent technical UK pension knowledge, but who has found their career progress restricted by perhaps not having qualified as an actuary or by a shift toward Defined Contributions over Defined Benefits schemes. APMI qualification or similar would be of interest.
