Interim rolling contract every 6 months with the view it could last 3 years upward, but it will be on a 6-month rolling review basis.
This is a role for a super new rolling contract acting as assistant to the Pensions Manager, ensuring that the in-house pension scheme arrangements at our client operate effectively and sustainably. Your main function will be to work with and assist the Pensions Manager/Secretary to the Trustees primarily in the day-to-day management of the company Defined Benefit arrangements, and when needed deputise in their absence.
You will help with the management and supervision of the overall administration of pension schemes, and be able to ensure the prompt and accurate resolution of complex pension claims. You should over time have time to help develop and deliver communication strategies to promote the benefits of pension schemes, raising company-wide awareness of pensions-related matters, and make recommendations to improve the scheme in response to member feedback and scheme performance.
Within your new role you will help manage the pension fund/scheme and its advisers; ensure that the pension scheme and its trustee board operates effectively and meet performance, quality and customer care targets, as well as complying with industry standards. So it is important you are up to date with current statutory regulations and constantly monitoring changes in legislation for pension's providers and developments in pension provision in order to ensure the optimum performance of the fund. You will help with ongoing monitoring and maintenance of pension scheme deficits and presentation of relevant reports and management information to senior stakeholders.
You will have previous experience of working in a similar role with a proven track record of Pensions Management and Administration.
