Our client is FTSE 100 organisation based in Hertfordshire seeking to recruit a DB Pension Administration Manager. Reporting to the Group Head of Pensions, you will be responsible for the overall pension administration and the management of 25 staff.

The Role:

  • Responsibility for the overall DB Pension scheme administration
  • Demonstrate outstanding team leadership skills
  • Attendance at Trustee meetings
  • Work collaboratively with other teams/departments (Consulting, Actuarial, Administration, HR etc)
  • Implement and improve current processes
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding and application of scheme benefit structures, Rules, Inland Revenue, Regulatory and Disclosure requirements
  • Reporting on service levels
  • Staff appraisals and discipline
  • Provide technical advice to the team on pension scheme matters and scheme rules both verbally and in writing
  • Work allocation/prioritisation
  • Complaint management including corrective actions
  • Staff training and development

The Person:

  • 5+ years DB schemes administration experience.
  • Experience of managing a team of administration staff at various levels
  • Experience of working collaboratively with other teams/departments
  • A problem solver, dealing with practical, people and political problems
  • Able to develop administrators and administrative processes
  • Able to plan and be flexible within that plan
  • Proactive, having driven and commitment, self-motivated
