Key Responsibilities

The duties of this role relate to the configuration of a 3rd party Defined Contribution (DC) pension scheme administration system and include but are not limited to

  • Being responsible for reviewing process specifications, which our 3rd party software provider will use to implement our administration processes into the new pension administration system
  • Liaison with the 3rd party provider
  • Ensuring that our system is as efficient and automated as possible
  • Ensuring that our system can process the diverse range of pension schemes which we administer
  • Being responsible for setting up existing schemes onto the new system, and coordinating migration of scheme data across from the old system
  • Being responsible for testing the development work and ensuring it has been completed in line with our specifications and is fit for purpose
  • Making brief, regular reports on progress
  • Other ad-hoc duties as is reasonably required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with DC pension schemes at a senior level
  • A good understanding of DC pension scheme administration processes is essential
  • A good knowledge of pensions administration systems is desired but not essential
  • Knowledge of the legislative requirements of international and Channel Island pension schemes is desired but not essential (training can be provided)
  • A relevant professional qualification is desirable but not essential

  • Demonstrate good communication with other members of the project team and the administration team
  • Demonstrate good attention to detail
  • Make positive suggestions for potential improvements
  • Work autonomously whilst within a wider project team
