This is an exciting opportunity to join the Corporate Compensation & Benefits team. Based in the UK; you will be responsible for leading Cummins retirement benefits strategy across the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Responsibilities within the role will include:
•Influencing, evaluating and supporting the development and implementation of Cummins global retirement benefit strategy
•Developing and leading the retirement benefits strategy for the EMEA region; working alongside your peers you will consider retirement benefits in the context of total rewards
•Acting as Secretary to the Board of Trustees, you will support the Board for the Cummins UK Pension Plan (Membership c.12000 , Assets c. £1.5b)
•Providing pensions expertise in M&A work and other corporate activities within the region
•Acting as the key point of contact for liaison with the retirement benefit advisers within the region.
•Together with colleagues within other functional areas you will provide leadership and best practice solutions around pension governance and general regulatory compliance within the region and on a global basis
Skills and Experience Required:
•Substantial experience in a similar senior role gained in-house or in a consutancy, ideally within a global organisation
•Proven current experience of both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes in the UK
•Experience of pension schemes design within Europe, Middle East and Africa preferred
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex material in an understandable way to a wide range of audiences
•Ability to work autonomously, participating in meetings and presenting within the UK and overseas when required
•Experience of working within a unionised environment desirable
With current working knowledge of pensions, ideally wider benefits, gained in-house or in consultancy you’ll draw on strong awareness of regulatory / market developments and impact on members, to influence best practice.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
•Associate member of the Pensions Management Institute (APMI), or studying towards essential
•International Employee Benefits Association Qualification desirable
Compensation and Benefits
Salary circa £75K depending on skills and experience
20% annual bonus (company performance related), pension plan, Company car or cash allowance equivalent, Private medical scheme options, plus various flexible benefits.
