Government Actuary's Department

GAD is a unique small government department of about 110 staff, which acts as an independent actuarial consultancy working within government for government. Based in new offices in Central London, it offers a centralised and innovative actuarial consultancy service on a fee-charging basis to clients throughout the UK public sector and overseas. The Pensions Directorate advises clients on their pension schemes and covers a variety of different requests for work and clients both UK and overseas. We work for pension schemes, employers or other scheme sponsors and have a significant number of clients for whom we act as Scheme Actuary.
