| | Job description * The job title is Pensions Project & Communications Manager. However it is very important to note the post is much wider than this title.
The project timetable is ready, all that is needed is you...
The Head of Pensions is seeking a pensions professional able to react to all the changes for pensions provision for the company over the coming 18 months, a challenging period of transition and change.
Your challenge will be to take the lead on each different project, ensure everything is organised and on track and liaise with all parties to ensure each project remains that way and is delivered on time by Head of Pensions at the final stage.
Project examples include: Closure to future accrual of the current DB schemes, transition to a new harmonised contract-based DC scheme for the future (potentially utilising in due course a combination of in-house and NEST from 2012) and act as key contact for the DC provider relationship, provide technical support to the in-house administration team and assisting the Head of Pensions in providing support throughout this process to both the Trustees and Company.
Scheme Information: Scheme membership of nearly 20,000 covering 5 schemes.
You will be expected to deal with anything at anytime, multi-tasking and taking a ‘fluid’ approach to what needs to be done most urgently. Flexible and adaptable you will enjoy developing as the role evolves, using your current and newly learned skills to get the work done. Your strong interpersonal skills are a requirement as you will liaise at senior levels, managing difficult situations.
This will not be an easy project, constantly challenging, tough at times but a wonderful opportunity to deal with a large variety of pensions topics, and learn an awful lot in a short time about pensions change. An ideal role for a stepping stone to pensions management or consultancy. |
