Job description
Perhaps you have recently been made redundant or resigned and are not ready to leap into the first permanent job that arises and would like to take your time and make the right move, but while waiting keep busy and do some interim pensions work? If so, this is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for some temporary pension administration work for a few months. Our client is a well-known international company with a large in-house pension department.

A good level of knowledge in administration is essential, knowledge of pensions administration highly advantageous, and preferred (particularly at the upper salary range), including Defined Benefit administration.

Applicants with previous pensions knowledge will demonstrate a knowledge of scheme benefits, HM Revenue & Customs limits, and Contributions Agency requirements. Ensure compliance with Data Protection Act issues and monitor work with regard to Disclosure requirements.

You will perform manual calculations and produce quotations for distribution to members, update the pensions administration database as required, arrange for the settlement of benefits in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescales. You will deal with basic and more complex telephone enquiries, in a polite and professional manner, about all aspects of the pension arrangements.

Employment is on an hourly basis for three months on a roll over basis. At the time of posting this advertisement the client required 1 x Pension Administrator on an ongoing basis with no end date and 1 x for 9 months. Ideally if possible our client would like you to work for the duration required and at minimum of three months.
