Superb opportunity to join this large in-house pensions function, providing expert pensions services to the trustees and company for this global industry leader. 

About the role: 

  • Provide support to the team managers in delivering excellent trustee secretarial services to three trustee clients, including preparing for and following up from trustee meetings.  Helping to ensure the trustees have an effective system of governance and all policies are effective, reviewed and kept up to date and that the trustees are maintaining good practice requirements in the way they run the pension schemes.  Writing papers and minutes for trustee meetings.
  • Assisting in ensuring regular scheme compliance requirements are met, including being responsible for carrying out some routine compliance tasks. 
  • Carrying out regular DC governance activities such as producing the DC Chair’s Statement and ensuring value for members’ assessments are carried out.
  • From time to time, assisting in researching technical matters and new legislative requirements.
  • Owning ad hoc governance or technical related projects.
  • Maintaining databases and document storage; keeping them accurate and up to date.

About you 

  • A passion for bringing structure to all work carried out by the team, being highly organised and enjoying organising the work of the team including keeping data bases and filing systems accurate and up to date.
  • Excellent attention to detail producing high quality accurate work.
  • Enjoy working in a team, pro-actively helping others.
  • Always looking to develop and improve processes.
  • Curious, wanting to learn and wanting to be aware of and understand the wider context.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to write clear reports for trustees
  • You will likely be qualified to degree level and working towards the professional exams for Associate Membership of the Pensions Management Institute and possess sound knowledge of UK pensions legislation and best practice. 
  • Experience is likely to have been in a technical pensions role or trustee secretarial role or as a consultant. 
  • However, candidates with the right skills, knowledge and ability to learn and develop would be considered.
