JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an individual who has recent working experience of SSASs and/or SIPPs to join our SSAS team as a Client Manager. You may already have been accountable for looking after a portfolio of clients or have the right foundations to take that next step in your career path.

If you have working knowledge of handling various administration tasks relating to SSAS or SIPP, such as record-keeping, bank transaction reconciliation, handling investment requests, property transactions and member benefits, then we would be very interested in hearing for you to discuss what we have to offer.

No previous experience of client-facing work is required, though if you have, you may be fast-tracked into being promoted to the SSAS Client Manager role (or join on that basis, depending on experience level) which will enable you to manage your own portfolio of SSAS clients.

The role can be offered on a full or part-time basis throughout the usual business working week. Working from home most days once initial induction period has been completed can be considered depending on business need. You will need to be assigned to one of our SSAS offices, for attendance at least twice a month: Amersham, Cheltenham, Glasgow, Leeds, or Liverpool. London, Guildford, Birmingham or Bristol could also be considered, though not as ideal.

On-the-job training will be provided through a mixture of face-to-face and virtual tutoring. If you approach work in professional manner and can take personal responsibility for delivering an excellent service, please get in touch.

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this role is to be accountable for a portfolio of SSAS clients, ensuring that the various regulatory requirements of administering a SSAS are complied with whilst ensuring that your clients’ needs are met in a professional manner.

Depending on experience or progression, additional opportunities may be available to further our business needs, such as providing internal technical support to colleagues or being responsible for nurturing business relationships with introducers.

 Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ recent experience with SSAS or SIPP, displaying broad knowledge
  • Experience of interacting with clients directly, whether in administrative or client-facing role
  • As a minimum, GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C / 5 or higher
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook is desirable, strong IT skills essential
  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality as you will be dealing with sensitive information
Benefits Summary
  • Competitive discretionary annual bonus
  • Core benefits paid for by BW including life assurance, group income protection, private medical cover and 25 days holiday per year with holiday trading
  • A generous pension scheme where we contribute 8% of your salary from day one of your employment

  • A comprehensive range of voluntary benefits to suit your life stage and lifestyle including a tech scheme, cycle to work scheme, dental cover, healthcare cash plan, health assessments, critical illness cover, extension of private medical cover or life assurance to family members, gym membership, travel insurance and a broad range of discounts at hundreds of retailers including supermarkets, fitness centres, travel and leisure companies
