With over 1600 people across 9 UK offices, we are proud to be a leading independent UK consultancy at the forefront of risk, pensions, investment and insurance. The SIPP Practice Area provides administration and trusteeship services to self-invested personal pension arrangements.  

We have a great opportunity for a finance professional to work in our SIPP team. The purpose of this role is to work effectively within a small team to ensure reconciliations are completed in line with our internal processes and FCA guidelines. This role can be based in our Glasgow or Cheltenham office. (hybrid working)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete the internal and external client money bank account reconciliations for all accounts in line with FCA Guidelines and in line with internal processes
  • Investigate, resolve and record problems/queries/anomalies relating to the client money bank account reconciliations and monitor on an ongoing basis and within agreed time frames
  • Complete individual/joint bank account reconciliations in line with FCA Guidelines 
  • Investigate, resolve and record problems/queries/anomalies relating to the individual/joint bank account reconciliations and monitor on an ongoing basis and within agreed timeframes
  • Assist with the completion of the monthly Client Money Asset Return
  • Assist with the management of the funding process where needed and reconciliation of payments back to BW
  • Promptly record breaches and ensure they are escalated to senior management 
  • Support any non BAU activity as may be required 
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and a good understanding of the Client Money rules set out by the FCA is essential as well as experience of working in an office environment with the ability to communicate well. 
  • Experience of Microsoft Office packages is essential.
  • GCSE grade 5 to 9 or A to C
